The Conference and Congress Service is enormously important for Ulm/Neu-Ulm. Due to the excellent infrastructure, the wide selection of suitable venues and the ability of a large city to offer interesting cultural programmes, the Danube twin cities offer the ideal choice of venue for holding events of all types.

The prestige of the University and Polytechnics and the presence of (globally) successful companies from various branches of commerce underscore the positive image of the Danube twin cities and ensure a steady stream of visitors.

To emphasize the significance of this area of business, the “Conference-Pool Ulm/Neu-Ulm” was initiated in 1997. Under the auspices of UNT the tasks of the pool are:

·Promotion of the MICE-location Ulm/Neu-Ulm

·Acquisition of conference and congress events

·Support for events (e.g advice on the choice of venue, provision of texts, pictures, maps etc for promoting the event)

·Market observation

·Updating of the events calendar

The objective of the pool is to publicize the location of Ulm/Neu-Ulm to a wider (professional-) public and to gain more clients for the service of events. Target groups are conference and events organizers, incentive agencies, national and international organisations, clubs and associations, companies and large travel agencies.

The Partners in this pool are, among others, Ulm Messe and Congress Center Ulm and Kornhaus, Edwin-Scharff-Haus Neu-Ulm, Maritim Hotel Ulm and Mövenpick-Hotel Neu-Ulm as well as other companies from the hotel and gastronomy branch, service providers and cultural institutions.The pool currently comprises 25 Partners.
