Flat tyre? E-bike battery empty? Too much luggage?
Arrival for cyclists at the railway station
Ulm's main railway station is a location of the utmost centrality and importance, not only for the city, but also for the entire region. For more than 15 years, the city of Ulm has been pursuing the goal of realising a contemporary concept for the area around the station with the so-called "City Station Concept", which is sustainable in terms of functionality, architectural and urban development quality at this important location in terms of transport and urban development policy. The aim is to create a city railway station that optimally fulfils its primary function as an integrated transport hub for all transport users, meets the diverse needs of travellers in terms of services and supplies, makes rail-bound transport more attractive and, last but not least, represents an appropriate calling card for the city as a whole.
Cycle tourists arriving by train who want to go straight to the long-distance cycle paths are guided to the Schillersteg (overpass over the tracks) via the lifts. Cyclists then take Schillerstraße in the direction of ROXY down to the Danube.
All diversions can be found on the current map on the left.
Danube cycle path closures
Unfortunately, there will be some partial closures of the long-distance cycle paths in Ulm and Neu-Ulm in summer 2024 due to roadworks. You can find an overview and information on suitable diversions in the graphic attached.
