Ulm/Neu-Ulm is a Danube Pearl
11 destinations from 8 countries from the source to the mouth of the Danube delta want to jointly use the boundless potential of the Danube and offer tourists the opportunity to explore the Danube region in a climate-friendly way.
Members of the transnational network are destinations that pursue a common vision to promote soft tourism. Each one of them has been officially certified as a ›pearl‹ on the basis of a list of criteria and thus as an outstanding destination for sustainable mobility in tourism.
The cities of Ulm/Neu-Ulm form the first and so far only German pearl in the network, represented by Ulm/Neu-Ulm Touristik GmbH.
The Danube.Pearls network serves as a platform for joint marketing activities to increase the attractiveness of the pearls and to make visitors aware of the numerous sustainable travel opportunities.
