Storm the castle

Summer, the castle, music, and culture—and this is already the ninth edition. "Stürmt die Burg" returns this summer in its usual format, offering a varied program at Wilhelmsburg over three weekends. Numerous concerts in the courtyard for all ages, a colorful program for families and children, and plenty of other reasons to spend the summer at the castle. Mayor Iris Mann will officially open the festival on July 23. As always, admission is free.

Another great reason to visit: Open Tower is entering its second round! Following the highly successful pilot phase in 2024, which drew around 12,000 visitors, we're launching the second test phase this year in collaboration with "Stürmt die Burg." With familiar tower users, new creative projects, and a longer timeframe, we're bringing the Kehlturm to life this summer and well into the winter.

The Kehlturm is transforming into a workspace and marketplace for a creative and forward-thinking community with open doors. This is made possible by the temporary establishment of a colorful mix of workshops, showrooms, exhibition spaces, studios, and opportunities for communication, as well as scientific and creative exchange.
Let yourself be carried along the spiral staircase through the tower all the way up to the rooftop terrace and discover a new surprise in every room. We encourage you to participate, look around, linger, and experience it all!

At the top of the tower is Ulm's highest rooftop bar, which, in addition to delicious drinks, certainly offers the best view of Ulm. Where else could the day end better?
