Pre-Christmas Season in Ulm and Neu-Ulm

The twin cities not only has something to offer in the summer! It also shows its best side in winter with a diverse programme that will appeal to both young and old.

Winter walks in Ulm and Neu-Ulm

Take your thick socks, water-proof shoes and hat and you're all set for the winter sun. Going on a walk is a great way to discover Ulm and Neu-Ulm.

The classic trial leads you directly along the Danube with a romantic view over Ulm Cathedral and the fishermen' and tanners' quarter. On the Eselsberg is where the Ulmer Höhenweg (high trail) starts, with a view over the entire city and, with a bit of luck, the alpine mountain range.

The Festungsweg (fortress trail) along the ramparts of the Bundesfestung will invite you to explore. Covering a total length of approx. 12.5 kilometres, it connects the individual buildings of the fortification ring, still preserved to this day, and mainly leads through the parks and green spaces of Ulm and Neu-Ulm.
